FAQs

Why choose Flouergardn Wedding?

At Flouergardn, we believe your wedding flowers should feel effortless, personal, and uniquely yours. Many couples come to us unsure of flower varieties, seasonal availability, budgets, or how to bring their vision to life—and that's completely normal. Our role is to guide you through the process, helping you make confident decisions while creating flowers that feel personal, intentional, and reflective of your story.

What sets Flouergardn apart is our design-led approach. Rather than simply selecting flowers, we consider the venue, atmosphere, guest experience, logistics, and overall visual impact to ensure every floral element works together harmoniously. We take the time to understand what matters most to you, helping you invest where it will create the greatest impact while managing the finer details behind the scenes.

From concept development and mood boards to sourcing, installation, repurposing, and pack-down, we take care of the details so you can enjoy the planning process with confidence and be fully present on your wedding day.

How far in advance should we contact and  book our wedding florist?

Most couples book Flouergardn 6–18 months before their wedding date, with popular dates often securing well in advance during peak wedding season. We recommend reaching out once your venue and date are confirmed.

This gives us plenty of time to get to know your vision, develop a tailored floral concept, create mood boards, discuss logistics, and thoughtfully plan every detail of your wedding flowers.

To ensure each couple receives a personalised experience, we take on a limited number of weddings each season. Bookings are secured on a first-come, first-served basis with a signed agreement and a 25% deposit.

How do we go about securing your services for our wedding?

Booking with Flouergardn is easy. Start by arranging a complimentary phone or Zoom consultation where we'll discuss your logistic details, flower investment, vision, style, and floral requirements.

Following the consultation, we'll provide a tailored proposal and quotation.

To secure your wedding date, simply return the signed agreement and pay a 25% deposit.

From there, we'll guide you through the planning process, refining the details and floral design leading up to your wedding da

What should we consider when planning our wedding flowers?

There are several factors that can influence the overall floral design and budget for your wedding.

• Consider your venue style, atmosphere, and overall wedding aesthetic -  Your venue plays a significant role in setting the foundation for your floral design. The architecture, materials, scale, lighting, and surroundings often influence the flower style, colour palette, and overall visual direction

• Think about your guest numbers and the size of the spaces being styled

• Have a general colour palette or mood in mind

• Focus on what is most important to you. Often, a few impactful floral moments create a stronger visual impression than many smaller details

• Be open to seasonal flowers and trust your florist's creative direction to achieve the best outcome

• Share venue logistics, including access requirements, bump-in times, floor plans, and any setup restrictions, these can influence the design and installation approach.

• Have a preferred floral budget or investment range to help guide recommendations and priorities

Don't worry if you're unsure where to start—Flouergardn will guide you through the process and recommend the best floral options to suit your vision, venue, and investment.

I'm not sure which flowers are in season or what will suit my wedding theme. Can Flouergardn help?

Absolutely. Many couples come to us knowing the overall look and feeling they want to create, but not necessarily the specific flower varieties. Our role is to guide you through the process by considering your venue, colour palette, wedding style, season, and budget. We will recommend flowers that are available at the time of your wedding and create a design concept that feels cohesive and aligned with your vision. You don't need to know flower names or what's in season—that's our job. Simply share your inspiration images, preferred colours, and overall aesthetic, and we'll take care of the rest.

What is included in a wedding flower package, and what additional costs should I be aware of?

Every wedding is unique, and inclusions will vary depending on your requirements. A typical Flouergardn package may include personal flowers, ceremony flowers, reception flowers, delivery, installation, and hire items where applicable. We will discuss your requirements during the consultation process and provide a tailored proposal outlining all inclusions and costs.

Additional costs may apply for delivery to multiple locations, venue-specific access requirements, difficult or restricted access, additional labour for extended travel distances, parking fees, or other logistical and item requirements that were not communicated prior to quotation.

Do you provide mood boards?

Yes. Once your booking is secured, we create a tailored mood board to help communicate the floral direction, colour palette, and overall design concept for your wedding.

Do you provide sketches or visual drawings?

For most weddings, our consultation process, mood boards, and extensive portfolio are sufficient to communicate the design direction. Simple sketches can be provided upon request. For larger-scale or more complex installations, sketches or visualisations may be provided or added as an additional service.

Do you provide delivery, setup, and pack-down?

Yes. We offer a comprehensive service including delivery, installation, relocation of flowers, and pack-down of hired items. Services can be tailored to suit different budgets and requirements.

Can you supply the flowers and we do our own DIY installation?

We can supply flowers on a collection or delivery basis if you prefer to handle the styling and installation yourself.

Please note that once flowers leave our care, Flouergardn cannot be responsible for transportation, handling, installation, or the final presentation. We're happy to discuss the best option to suit your plans and budget.

Can ceremony flowers be repurposed for the reception?

Absolutely. We regularly repurpose ceremony flowers for receptions where logistics and timing allow. We will discuss the most suitable options during the planning process.

What if I change my mind about my wedding colour palette or bouquet style?

Wedding plans often evolve throughout the planning process.

We understand that your vision may develop over time, and we're happy to refine your colour palette and floral selections during the planning phase.

Even if you're unsure about your colour palette, flower selections, or bouquet style when securing your date, that's perfectly fine. Booking with Flouergardn secures our availability for your wedding date, while the design direction can continue to evolve throughout the planning process.

The earlier you let us know about any changes, the more flexibility we have to refine your floral concept.

Ideally, major changes should be discussed before your mood board and design direction are finalised.

Please note that significant changes after a mood board design direction has been approved, or after flowers have been ordered, may incur additional fees and will be subject to flower availability at the time.

Can I add more items to my wedding package later?

Yes, absolutely. We often assist couples in adding flowers, hire items, or services as their wedding plans evolve.

To ensure availability, we recommend communicating any additions with your florist as early as possible, particularly during peak wedding season when flower supply, hire items, and installation schedules can become limited.

We'll always do our best to accommodate changes and help bring your vision to life.

What are seasonal flowers, and why should I let my florist choose them for my wedding?

Seasonal flowers are those that bloom naturally during a specific time of year in your region and can be influenced by environmental factors. Florists have the knowledge and experience to choose the best seasonal options that align with your vision while maximizing the quality and cost-effectiveness of your arrangements. Trusting your florist allows you to focus on enjoying your day, knowing your flowers will be stunning and perfectly suited to the season.

Can I get a list of the seasonal flowers that will be used?

We are happy to provide general guidance on flowers that are typically in season around your wedding date. However, flower availability can vary from year to year and is influenced by weather conditions, growing seasons, and market supply.

Rather than locking in a specific flower list, we recommend focusing on your preferred colour palette, style, and overall aesthetic. This allows us to source the best quality seasonal blooms available at the time while achieving the overall look and feel you envision. If there are specific flowers that are particularly important to you, please let us know and we will do our best to incorporate them where available.

Q: Can I request specific flowers even if they’re out of season?

Yes, you can request out-of-season flowers, but please be aware that their availability is not guaranteed and they may be more expensive and difficult to source. Additionally, out-of-season flowers may not be as vibrant or long-lasting as those in season. We recommend choosing in-season flowers for the best quality and value, but we’re happy to discuss your preferences and explore all available options to create your desired floral arrangements.

Q: What happens if my chosen flowers are not available due to seasonal or environmental factors?

While we do our best to accommodate your preferences, availability can be affected by seasonal or environmental factors. If your chosen flowers are not available, we will inform you as soon as possible. In some cases, we may only discover unavailability closer to the day. If this happens, we will select the closest possible flowers to your vision to ensure your arrangements remain beautiful and aligned with your overall theme.
